“Iris’s Blooming” Artist’s inspiration: It was when I visited an arboretum in North Carolina for a plein air painting day that I spotted this lovely Iris growing. Though the weather was hot and the bugs were a plenty, I pressed on, and this is my reward for surviving that glorious day.
